This is an amazing show!
I went back to my highschool days when I used to listen to NPR like it was music in the background and if I have internet connection, Serial will be my new version of Spotify – for the 7 episodes I have left.
I guess in college I've regressed from pouring new information into my brain recreationally, which is something I've been trying to rectify this semester. I noticed that I spend a ton of idle time being on the subway and waiting for the subway and I don't like having my phone out so I wanted an alternative.
My father gave me a finance book 3 years ago that I had never gotten to and I decided to take up the challenge by reading it in idle time on the subway. I felt it was the perfect opportunity to because... why not? Plus, I get to learn a fantastic new skill in my free time.
I've got some interesting looks by my choice of book; some people probably would expect a finance-looking-Wall-Street guy to be reading the book I casually peruse.
Back to Serial, it's such an intense show I would not like to listen to it while I'm out and about walking some where. Being in NYC I'd probably look at everyone I pass with a lingering suspicion they could be the true suspect of the story. I "binged-listened" to 5 episodes straight and had to watch Netflix before I went to bed to make sure I would have some sort of a nightmare.

Blogs, blogs, blogs
In my Professional Practices class, my professor wanted us to write in any medium that we chose. She wanted it primarily to be in a journal, but I want to see if I could take that task up here as well.
She stressed in class that writing can be two lines, that takes 5 minutes out of my day. As long as I’m exercising it, it will get easier with time. I’m going to see what I could contribute to this blog in the same way. I may even use the Hip Hop blogs I curated for the assignment and post them to here just to have an archive.
I’m excited to see what’s going to come about, stay tuned!

Comments on Starting this Incredulous Thoughts Blog
I am quite interested in seeing what I will learn doing the blog exercises. I may not be able to resurrect Random Discovery, but I can learn how to do better for next time. Adding content through a variety of different ways will help me be less lazy in inputting material to my blog.
I did not realize the convenience Blogger has set up to create a serious, cohesive blog. It’s honestly pretty easy to create something there without having to go through hoops of how to add multimedia, add gadgets, or cool additions.
I like this as a great platform to practice for a potential blog in the future since I realized how much fun I had writing it. I appreciate I can have whatever type of formality I want. For here, the more relaxed I am about the process, the easier it is to for me to get my thoughts down.
I’m excited to see what brain farts make it here!
Random Discovery RIP
My first experience with Blogger was in 2011 when I was ambitious enough to start my own blog. I don’t know what I thought as a sophomore in high school what I was going to accomplish with a blog, but I started it out anyway.
It was called Random Discovery. I wanted to facilitate a space for the ultimate weirdness. Anything could be talked about and under the umbrella of ‘random’, short, long, or anything in-between of those lengths were acceptable. Thoughts about cows or serious topics could be brought up. The format of the posts would vary.
Reading through the blog now, I thought I would be embarrassed. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m not embarrassed to read it, but for others, I probably would be. But, I read a quote from my first post on the site and it was, “A big thing we all do is worry ourselves and something we all need to ‘chill.” So, let paper take all your secrets. And write.” Such a profound thing for me to write as a 15 year old.
I had others posts, ‘A Place For Your Tush’, ‘Not Just A Cow Goes Moo’, ’14 Great Things To Do With Tress’, and ’Let It Not Snow, Santa.’ Considering I’m horrible at creating titles, I’m quite intrigued now to see what I even wrote on the matter.
Maybe doing a blog for this class might spur some more writing in such a medium.
